Meet the minds behind Avetta

As Avetta’s CEO, Arshad Matin is focused on enhancing safety, sustainability and regulatory compliance outcomes for organizations throughout the world. 

Prior to joining Avetta, Arshad served as President, Chief Executive Officer and a board member of Paradigm, a leading developer of software and analytics solutions to the global oil and gas industry. Arshad also held leadership positions at Symantec Corporation (NASDAQ: SYMC), BindView Corporation and was a Partner at McKinsey & Company.

Arshad serves as a board member or trustee for ASGN Incorporated (NYSE: ASGN), and several non-profit organizations including the Houston Endowment, Texas Children's Hospital and Asia Society Texas Center.

In his role as Chief Product Officer, Taylor Allis strengthens Avetta through strategic innovation, feature enhancement, and global expansion. His unique experience combined with an innate vision to drive safety, sustainability and efficiency across global supply chains.

Prior to joining Avetta, Taylor led Enablon, a Wolters Kluwer business, and a leader in Operational and Sustainability Software. As Global Vice President of Product & Marketing there, Taylor led programs that inspired explosive growth, including $2.5B in new capital investment.

Taylor also has served in leadership positions for Sun Microsystems/Oracle, TTEC Holdings, IQNavigator/Beeline and three start-ups. His efforts have led to strong results. Taylor doubled and tripled the size of three businesses he has worked in, developed the first AI products for two businesses, and co-invented a cloud solution that has secured eight issued and 17 pending patents.

Randy has over 35 years of product management and engineering experience in the software industry.  He has led both small and large commercial product, technology and support organizations. As the former CTO at Clarivate, he was responsible for engineering, IT and information security. Prior, he led the Engineering, IT and Information Security at IHS Markit. He also led Product Engineering at Seismic Micro Technology successfully positioning the organization for acquisition by IHS. Additionally, Randy held senior technical leadership positions at Sterling Commerce, Reynolds and Reynolds, Firepond and OnDisplay. Randy received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maryland.

Christopher Lewis, promoted to the position of CTO, started at Avetta as a vice president of data analytics in March of 2020. Christopher has more than 25 years of experience in product development and delivery of analytical solutions. He spent the last few years at IHS Markit working across the organization (financial markets, automotive, maritime, energy, chemicals, global trade etc.) to set up an enterprise data lake and enable data science and analytics.

Prior to that, he was CTO at Seismic Micro-Technology for more than 18 years before it was acquired by IHS, where he and his team successfully delivered multiple analytical products (geophysical, geological, engineering) to the oil and gas industry. He came to Avetta from IHS Markit, where he was executive director. As CTO, Christopher is responsible for product development, helping achieve the product solution that matches Avetta’s future vision. He will complete Avetta’s transformation toward fully agile development, high scalability solutions and automated testing capabilities.

Raj has over 2 decades of experience driving operational and strategic success at leading SaaS companies. Prior to joining Avetta, Raj served as the was CFO for Granicus, where he oversaw the company’s finance, accounting, legal and business systems departments. Earlier in his career, Raj was the Vice President of FP& A at Plex Systems, a leading cloud manufacturing ERP. Raj also played an integral role in taking Eloqua, an early leader in marketing automation, to one of the most successful IPOs of 2012 and subsequent acquisition by Oracle. Raj is a Certified Public Accountant and received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Maryland.

Richard is responsible for leading Avetta's Integrated Supplier Organization. This organization is responsible for managing the end-to-end experience for Avetta's growing network of 150,000+ suppliers and contractors in all phases of their relationships with Avetta. His focus is on improving all phases through registration, onboarding, compliance, customer support, and supplier retention. He and his team also develop and deliver new product and service offerings designed to create enhanced value.

Richard has spent more than 20 years in senior leadership roles providing Business Process Outsourcing to Fortune 500 companies in a variety of industries. He has successfully led operating teams in delivering inside sales, customer support, data gathering, and process optimization solutions. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Regis University in Denver, Colorado.

Scott has more than 20 years of experience consulting with global organizations on supply chain risk management and sustainable procurement, including 10 years in Software as a Service (SaaS) sales and program deployment in over 100 countries

In his current role, Scott and his team are responsible for driving new client acquisition and achieving Avetta revenue targets. His strategy combines acquisition of large regional clients and expanding US contracts into global partnerships.

Scott holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Weber State University.

Bill Stephenson, Senior Vice President of Account Management, at Avetta, is based in Houston, Texas. Bill’s responsibilities lie in driving organic customer growth for Avetta’s client base and delivering overall client success & customer delight.

Prior to joining Avetta, Bill served as the VP of Americas Sales at Paradigm Geophysical, which was then acquired by Emerson in December 2017. He also served as the Senior Vice President of Sales at symplr, where he led sales teams across symplr’s Credentialing, Provider Management and Payor Enrollment product lines. Prior to symplr, he served as the SVP of Americas sales at P2 Energy Solutions. There he led the American Sales Team in delivering $200M in annual revenue.

For nearly 25 years prior, Bill has held executive sales positions at Spatial Energy, Seismic Micro-Technology, IHS, BindView and Symantec Corporation. 11 years of those years were spent at BindView/Symantec, where he held Sales Executive, Regional Sales Manager and Sales Director positions. Most notably, he was interim VP of Sales at BindView during the acquisition and transition to Symantec during which he led the sales team to a record quarter post acquisition.

Bill served in the U.S. Army for four years including active duty in Desert Storm. He earned his BBA in Finance from the University of Houston. He actively volunteers at the Lone Survivor Foundation.

As Chief Human Resources Officer, Aaron Wattam strengthens the people-related strategies for Avetta’s global employees and supports the #OneAvetta strategy.

Aaron has over 25 years of HR experience leading people strategy and global human resources teams in technology, oil & gas, distribution & logistics and manufacturing organizations.

Prior to joining Avetta, Aaron served as Vice-President of Global Human Resources at Paradigm, a leading developer of software and analytics solutions for the global oil and gas industry. He led in this capacity from January 2011 to December 2017 when the company was acquired by Emerson; and from December 2017 through December 2019 for the newly formed Emerson E&P Software. Mr. Wattam also managed global human resources at Umbra, a leader in design-oriented consumer products, and worked at Talisman Energy (now Respol), Marsan Foods, General Motors and Unilever in various roles.

As Senior Vice President of Professional Services, Abid has responsibility for the design and deployment of services that allow our customers to achieve their broader risk management goals expediently. Working closely with the customer facing and support services groups within Avetta, the professional services team delivers quality implementation, audit, insurance requirements planning and customized training.

Abid has over 20 years of experience in commercial and supply chain management as an independent advisor and head of function at Fortune 100 energy companies. In his previous roles as chief supply chain officer, Abid built end-to-end supply chain capabilities from the ground up and transformed existing functions to deliver incremental value to internal stakeholders. He has led enterprise-wide systems implementation and six sigma business process improvement programs. He has also led one of the largest merger integrations in the energy industry in the last five years.

Prior to joining Avetta, Abid was an independent consultant leading broad procurement and supply chain improvement programs that generated significant financial gain for clients in the energy, petrochemicals, financial services, technology, and manufacturing sectors.

In addition to his role at Avetta, Abid is also an executive faculty member at the University of Oklahoma where he teaches MBA level courses in supply chain management.
